Venture capital investment firm, Nanostart AG, offer free nano webinar series

I appreciate the effort and creativity that Nanostart AG, a venture capital investment firm, is putting into its marketing with their new webinar series, NanoWebTalks which starts Jan. 25, 2012. From the Jan. 3, 2012 news item on Nanowerk,

Nanostart, a leading venture capital investment firm in nanotechnology, is introducing NanoWebTalks, a new, free webinar series.

Qualified experts from the Nanostart network will hold Web-based presentations demonstrating the many facets of nanotechnology. With the NanoWebTalks, Nanostart AG promotes a nuanced, ideology-free approach and impartial, objective discussion.

The first event, on January 25, will feature Prof. Wolfgang M. Heckl, General Director Deutsches Museum, Munich: “Nanotechnology between hype and hope” (please note that his talk will be in German) …

The talk starts at 5 pm (GMT + 1 hr), which means that if you’re living on the west coast of Canada or the US the talk starts at 8 am PST.

You can register here for the webinar and for more information about Professor Wolfgang M. Heckl.

As for Nanostart AG, I checked out the company’s mission statement (from the Mission Statement webpage),

Our mission: making nanotechnology possible®

We see nanotechnology as a radically new approach, as the greatest transformation in business and society since the industrial revolution.

Our mission is to turn young, up-and-coming nanotech companies into market leaders. We help them, as both investor and partner, to exploit the business potential of nanotechnological innovations on the basis of which they develop ground-breaking products and processes.
Through this, Nanostart profits from the enormous growth potential of nanotechnology and the growth in the values of the companies in which it invests.
Because nanotechnology is just beginning to reveal the vast breadth of its potential applications, it is impossible to foresee the limits to the future growth and investing success of Nanostart.

I’m not sure why one would want to copyright the mission statement title. It leads me to wonder about the quality of this company’s advice.
