I got my March 2012 issue of The Nano Bite newsletter to find a listing of US participants in the March 24 – April 1 2012 NanoDays events here on the NISENet (Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network) website. I did not see any events listed for Canada. Maybe next year, eh?

Elsewhere in the newsletter, there’s a reference to Dr. Ainissa Ramirez, an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science at Yale University, and a dedicated video presenter. Here’s an example of one of her nano videos (from the Material Marvels series),

Keeping to the Valentine’s Day theme, the newsletter notes the world’s smallest valentine (unofficially), which was made of palladium atoms and gold atoms deposited on a carbon film by researchers at the University of Birmingham (UK), Nanoscale Physics Research Laboratory.
