Journal of Nanoengineering and Nanosystems calls for authors

SAGE Publications is inviting authors to submit research for publication in the Journal of Nanoengineering and Nanosystems. You do have an opportunity to preview the journal (and others) for free until Oct. 31, 2011. You will have to register here before getting access to all the content.

Here are some more details from the Oct. 5, 2011 news item on Nanowerk,

The Journal reflects work on real devices, processes and materials that arise from transitioning the scientific and engineering database. Overseen by an editorial board of international experts, headed up by Professor Max Yen, all papers published are peer-reviewed and of the highest quality. The journal is indexed in SCOPUS and your paper will be published as soon as possible on our award-winning SAGE Journals Online platform.

This journal is being issued four times annually on behalf of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and registration will give you free access (within the time constraints previously mentioned) to all the IMechE journals on the site. For anyone not familiar with IMechE, I’ve excerpted this description from their About the Institution page on their website,

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is the fastest growing professional engineering institution in the UK. Our 98,000 members work at the heart of the country’s most important and dynamic industries.

With a 160-year heritage supporting us, today’s Institution is a forward-looking, campaigning organisation. By working with leading companies, universities and think tanks, we create and share knowledge to provide government, businesses and the public with fresh thinking and authoritative guidance on all aspects of mechanical engineering.

We truly believe we can improve the world through engineering. So the Institution finds and nurtures new talent, helping engineers build their careers and take on the challenges that, when solved, will make a difference to all of us.

The tag line says it all “improving the world through engineering”.
