Before I get to the rap, I have some funding news. NISE Net has $3000 grants (one time only) available for projects that engage local audiences in nanoscale sciences, engineering, or technology topics. From the NISE (Nanoscale Informal Science Education) Network blog Sept. 8, 2011 posting by Catherine McCarthy,
The Program Overview gives basic program info as well as examples of applicable projects.
Similar to our NanoDays application, we welcome you to use our simple online application through Survey Gizmo to apply:
http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/599449/2012-NISE-Network-Mini-Grant-ApplicationAttached is a PDF copy of the online application.
Applications must be submitted online through Survey Gizmo by November 1, 2011.
Twenty of these applications will be selected for funding.
These funds are to be distributed to museums and other institutions located in the US.
NISE Net’s (located at nisenet.org) companion website for the public, What is nano? has just gotten a makeover. I confess I don’t recall hearing about this site before and am looking forward to investigating more thoroughly in the future.
Here’s the Nano Rap I promised,
